Does it need to be mounted or hung?

Nope. It stands on its own with a built-in easel base, so you can set it on a desk, kitchen counter, shelf, or anywhere else you want it. No wall space, nails, or hooks needed.

Will markers or pens bleed through the paper?

The paper is thick and no-bleed, so most pens and markers won't show through to the next month. We'd still recommend testing any wet ink pens on a corner first, but ballpoint, gel, and most felt-tip pens work great.

overlapping months

Love this company and the product! Only reason why it’s 3 stars and not 5 is because as a repeat customer of this product, it’s a waste that there’s overlap between 7 months from the 2025-2026 calendar and this one. It should just be a 12 or 24 month calendar (19 makes no sense to me) then when customers want to reorder it there’s not an overlap of the months. Otherwise awesome product and quality and love the company!

The 19-month format was originally designed intentionally to run July through the following January, which is especially helpful for teachers, students, and anyone who plans on an academic-year cycle but still wants coverage into the next calendar year. A lot of our community liked having that extended runway so they weren’t stuck buying a new calendar mid-school year.

That said, you’re not wrong. For repeat customers who reorder on a consistent schedule, the overlap can feel wasteful. We’ve heard feedback like yours, and it’s exactly why we’re adjusting future versions. Beginning with the 2027 edition, we’re moving to a cleaner 12-month format to eliminate that awkward overlap and make reordering feel simpler and more practical.
