We’re so excited to share that bloom daily planners has been named one of the Top 100 Small Businesses of 2025 by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce! 🌸
This honor, part of the America’s Top Small Business Awards (CO—100), celebrates outstanding small businesses across the country. Out of thousands of applicants, bloom was recognized as a Customer Champion — a category that honors companies who deliver exceptional customer service and grow through genuine engagement with their community.

What’s Next
In early October, bloom co-founders Michelle Askin and Kaylyn DiNardo will head to Washington, D.C. to attend the awards celebration and gala. There, the Chamber will announce the Top 10 Small Businesses — and even crown the single Top Small Business of the Year.
We are humbled to be recognized among such inspiring companies, and we can’t wait to connect with other leaders who share the same passion for impact, community, and service.
Why We Won: Our “Customer Champion” Approach
The Customer Champion category is all about businesses who go above and beyond for their customers — and for bloom, that mission has always been at the heart of what we do. Here’s a closer look at some of the strategies and stories from our application that earned us this recognition:
We Treat Every Interaction as Personal
As a small, female-led team, we don’t use rigid scripts or canned replies. We respond like real people — with empathy, clarity, and care. Every message is an opportunity to build trust, not just solve a problem.
One example: while we don’t typically offer refunds on digital products, we’ve made exceptions when someone clearly purchased by mistake or was going through a difficult season. Our priority is creating loyal, supported customers over sticking to strict rules.
Going Above and Beyond
One story that touched us deeply came from a customer going through cancer treatment. She reached out for a planner that wouldn’t feel overwhelming. We not only sent her a complimentary planner and sticker pack, but also included a handwritten note and extra goodies chosen just for her. She later wrote to tell us the package brought her to tears and gave her peace during a difficult time. Those moments matter — and they remind us why we exist.
Listening to Our Community
We gather feedback from every angle: reviews, surveys, emails, social media, and our private Facebook group of 7,000+ bloom users. Many of our products — like the Chronic Illness Planner and Self-Care Sticker Pack — were born directly from customer requests.
We also invite customers into our design process through polls, early concept testing, and open calls for input. For example, when a customer pointed out the lack of representation in our stickers, we partnered with her to create a “Black Girl Magic” sticker pack using her exact suggestions. The pack not only celebrated her voice but resonated deeply with so many others who felt more represented.
Turning Challenges Into Opportunities
We see customer complaints as a chance to make someone’s day — not a burden. Many times, a customer who came to us upset has left saying they’ll be a bloom customer for life because of how their issue was handled.
Our rule of thumb? When someone’s giving you a hard time, it’s often because they’re having a hard time. Leading with empathy turns even tough situations into lasting relationships.
Why This Recognition Matters
At bloom, our mission is about so much more than planners. We aim to calm overwhelm, inspire intentional living, and build a community of support.
Being named a Customer Champion in the Top 100 Small Businesses of 2025 affirms that how we treat our customers matters just as much as what we create. It reflects the love, trust, and connection that has carried bloom forward for 15 years.
And to our incredible community: this recognition belongs to you too. Your feedback, stories, and support shape everything we do. 💛
Stay tuned this October as Michelle and Kaylyn head to Washington, D.C. — we’ll be sharing updates from the event and (hopefully!) celebrating if bloom is named a Top 10 or even the Top Small Business of the Year.
Here’s to continuing to bloom together. 🌸
