Welcome New bloom Team Member, Lauren!

We are SO excited to welcome bloom's newest full time employee, Lauren! We fell in love with Lauren when she interned with us, and after she graduated we couldn't resist scooping her up full time! We were ecstatic when she accepted. This girl's smile lights up a room and we are so excited for the energy and creativity she will bring to our company. 

We asked Lauren a few questions so you all can get to know her better! Here is what she had to say:

Tell us about yourself!

I am a recent graduate from the University of Delaware and have been a native Delawarean all my life. I would describe myself as a “girly girl” because I love hair and makeup, getting my nails done, and shopping! I also love sports and fitness and have played basketball and volleyball my whole life. I have a loud and outgoing personality and was president of my class in middle school, high school, and even my sorority in college! In grade school, I was referred to as the “mother hen” and even now I’m known as “mom” to all of my friends because I love taking care of others!

What will you be doing at bloom?

My official job title will be, “Director of New Business Development” so basically I will be working on building new relationships for bloom! We know there are so many creative and wonderful people and companies out there that we believe could benefit from our products! At bloom, we believe in building people up to the best they can be and we believe our products inspire productivity and help others reach their full potential!

What unique talents do you feel you bring to the bloom team? 

One of my favorite things to do is TALK! In fact, that’s what I went to college for; I graduated with a Communications degree so I guess that makes me an “expert communicator”.

What does bloom mean to you?

bloom to me is living every day to the fullest, constantly striving to be the best person you can be, and inspiring the women around you to be their best self by encouraging and uplifting one another! bloom is possibilities, motivation, inspiration, and a daily reminder to keep pushing through!

When did your love for stationery start?

I have had a love of stationary since as long as I can remember and I have always been obsessed with stickers! I remember going into stores with my mom and begging her to buy me stickers for my “sticker books”. Did you hear bloom is coming out with their own sticker line?!  

What is your favorite bloom product and why?

My favorite bloom product is my Vision Planner! I would absolutely be LOST without it! I love starting each month with setting my personal vision and goals and then breaking them down in the “making it happen” section. This helps me set realistic goals for myself with tangible tasks to complete each week! I use my monthly view calendars for keeping track of dates, parties, holidays, and family members. I like to use my weekly views for daily appointments and to do lists!

What do you like to do outside of work? 

Outside of work, you can find me at the gym, grabbing coffee at Starbucks, hanging with my family, online shopping, or at happy hour with my friends. I love meeting new people so exploring new places is one of my favorite things to do. I am also Pinterest obsessed so finding new DIY projects is a daily hobby.

What is your favorite quote? Why?

I love this quote because I believe inward beauty is what makes people shine on the outside! Never underestimate the power of a strong mindset, positive thoughts, and uplifting words.
