New Beginnings and New Places!

“And suddenly you know...it’s time to start something new and trust the magic of new beginnings.”

There is really only one way to describe how I ended up at bloom: meant to be. As a graphic designer who also has a love of hand made art and hand lettering, it can be tough to find a job that allows you to mix the digital and handmade world. I graduated from Ohio State in 2016 and had been working as a Graphic Artist for Whole Foods in Denver when I stumbled across my dream job opening - a graphic design position at bloom. The role encompassed everything I was looking for: both handmade and digital work, photography, and most importantly, a great group of people to work with.

Around the same time, bloom posted a “Spotlight Sunday” featuring one of their previous graphic designers, Cait. As I was reading the post, I thought to myself - “did I write this?” Turns out, she was leaving behind an amazing job, family, and a place she loved to move to Denver to be with her boyfriend and start a new chapter. Meanwhile, I was leaving family and the amazing mountains in Denver, looking to move to Philadelphia to be with my boyfriend. Can you say ‘meant to be?!’

After meeting both Cait and the rest of the bloom girls in the office, I quickly realized just how much heart is behind this company. They don’t take “inspiring women to bloom into the best version of themselves” lightly - they work hard and passionately to make people’s lives better. It is so inspiring to see the same passion I have for design shine in each of their roles. The cross-country move has been both scary and challenging, but with the help of bloom - and our products! - I am settling into my new home.

Colorado will always hold a special place in my heart. I love anything and everything outdoors - hiking, snowboarding, running. However, exchanging the mountains for a skyline has been a whole different kind of thrilling adventure so far. There is so much character and liveliness in Philadelphia that I am constantly inspired and encouraged to keep hustling.

Working at bloom, I am lucky enough to be able to do what I love on a daily basis, surrounded by all kinds of creativity. I am so excited to be working on creating new designs that I hope you’ll love!

xoxo,

Brie
