A Trip Down Memory Lane

Whew! It has certainly been a busy back to school season and we are loving it! Please continue to post pictures of you and your new bloom academic year planners on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, and be sure to tag us! We love the feedback! We already mentioned that we have been avid planner users our entire lives. There is something satisfyingly tangible about writing "to-do's" down on paper, rather than committing them to memory or punching them into a phone. Jotting it down and crossing it off makes us feel much more organized and accomplished! Though we now use a bloom planner, we started to think about our old planners - what they looked like, how we would use them. Amidst all the hustle and bustle this Back to School season, we were inspired to dig up our old planners from grade school! Dun dun dun... The Ultimate Flash Back Friday! ;) It was so interesting to see all of the similarities between our old school planners and our bloom planner line. Looking at them side by side, it seems as though we were perfecting and tweaking the design features for bloom planners long ago! Flipping through our old planners, we found custom features that we had added by hand... script font changes, creative doodles, shaded weekends, added Holidays including hand drawn icons, memorable quotes, tabs, and A LOT of color! Year after year, we made small changes that personalized our planners and made them better suited to our needs. Of course, this led to bloom planners being better suited for YOUR needs! It's so exciting to know that we were able to make our dream planner come to life for you all. Do you have any custom features that you add to your planner? Please share them with us! We'd love to hear how you personalize your planner so that we can continue to improve! Also, be sure to stay tuned for all of the exciting new features coming out in our 2014 calendar year planners! We cannot wait for the big reveal! :) photo-38 photo-39
