Get on the Juice Train!

Juicing

Juice

About a year ago Michelle and I decided we wanted to try a cleanse. There’s always those weekends where you over-indulge and feel a little sluggish on a Monday. We found a great deal on a juicer and thought, “Why not?!” We purchased the Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Juice Extractor and we absolutely love it! We are lucky enough to have a great Farmer’s Market right down the street from our office so we can pick up fresh fruits and veggies easily. We looked up some basic recipes and were pretty pleased with our initial creations. Since then we have expanded the menu quite a bit and almost all the girls in our office have jumped on board the juice train! We don’t necessarily use our juices as meal replacements because, let’s be honest, it doesn’t always cut it! We just enjoy juicing for the added energy and nutritional benefits. It’s hard to get your daily recommended amounts of fruits and veggies each day, so this is a great way to get all your vitamins and minerals packed into a tasty juice! We thought we would share some of our favorite juicing recipes in case any of our fellow bloom girls have juicers or were interested in trying them out. Let us know what you think! *Morning Juice* 1 Grapefruit 2 -3 Oranges 2 Apples 1 Pomegranate **Michelle’s Fav Yum! It’s recommended to juice first thing in the morning before eating or drinking anything else so that the nutrients are absorbed directly into your blood stream. The next Green Juice is another great morning juice. *Green Juice* 2 Green Apples 1 Pear 3 Kiwis 4 Clementines 2 Handfuls of Spinach 4-6 Stalks of Swiss Chard 4 Stalks of Kale A splash of Aloe **Kaylyn’s Fav This is our *“Classic” Juice.* One of our first and favorite lunch recipes! 1 Beet 2 Apples 4 Carrots 1 small piece of Ginger (Optional) **You can add celery, cucumber, more apple or carrot to make more juice. Be careful when mixing because the beet juice can stain! We try to find smaller beets that will fit in the mouth of our juicer so no cutting is necessary. *Watermelon Juice* ¼ of small Watermelon ¼ of a Pineapple 2-3 Apples 8-10 Strawberries A splash of Coconut water **You can add aloe too if you have it! This is a delicious and refreshing summer juice! You can really get creative and test out new recipes with your favorite fruits and veggies! Here is a good link with a ton of other great recipes! Enjoy!! ☺ http://juicerecipes.com/health/benefits/juicing-for-energy/
